Analogue or hybrid watches are classic looking timepieces that combine the look and functionality of a traditional watch with abilities that are evident in today's smartwatches. In a marketplace of mass variety, it's become difficult to narrow down the best smartwatches worth owning.

I wonder what value that automatic movement actually brings to the table anyway - if what you want is a smartwatch, my feeling is that you should just spring for a smartwatch and not worry yourself or feel guilty about the lack of a balance spring inside.

You won't see full touchscreen displays like you get on Android Wear watches or the Apple Watch You certainly won't have to deal with a couple of days of battery life, that's for sure.

As of this writing, neither hybrid smartwatch is available on Michael Kors's website, though the brand's activity trackers and Android-based smartwatches are listed for sale. Watch faces for Android Wear exist in the kind of state Android phone apps were in during their earliest days—all over the place, so good luck searching.
